18-month-old Palestinian toddler burnt alive after attack by Jewish settlers on two homes


18 month old Ali Dawabsheh was burnt alive when suspected Jewish assailants set fire to two Palestinian West Bank homes. The fire that killed him also critically wounded his parents and older brother. E! Television yesterday officially announced that Maria Menounos, 37, would be replacing Giuliana Rancic on E! News
'As an established entertainment and news journalist with strong Hollywood connections, Maria has proven herself to be a great fit with the E! News team,' E! said in a statement unveiling the new appointment.
Giuliana revealed earlier in July that she would be stepping down from her post on August 10 to focus on her blossoming side ventures.

Maurice Laboz, owner of real estate management firm Regal Real Estate, died earlier this year and left his two daughters, Marlena, 21, and Victoria, 17, $10 million each (his entire estate was worth $37 million). And while the money is supposed to roll in when each girl turns 35, Maurice set up conditions for the payouts to start earlier.

GEJ's ex-Chief Security Officer, Obua, critically ill at National Hospital


The former Chief Security Officer of former president Jonathan, Mr Gordon Obua is reportedly lying critically ill at the National hospital. According to friends of the former CSO who shared his photo on Facebook, Mr Obua has continued to suffer both physically and mentally and has been in great pain since the day he returned home on July 21st after being detained by the DSS. They say his abdomen is swollen and he has great difficulty moving around.

According to his family members, they are already making plans to fly him overseas for a more accurate evaluation and treatment as advised by his family physician. Mr Gordon was arrested by DSS officials as part of measures by the new administration to probe officials who worked under GEJ's government. He was released on July 21st.

America's youngest convicted murderer released from prison at age 29 after serving 16 years


Curtis Jones, who was 12 years old at that time, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for killing his father's wife, a murder he committed with his 13-year-old sister in 1999. He was released from prison yesterday at the age of 29.

Curtis and Catherine Jones were arrested after they hatched a plot to kill a male relative they claimed had been sexually abusing them. Curtis is the nation's youngest convicted murderer.

8yr old who lost hands to infection gets double-hand transplant

An 8-year-old boy who lost his hands and feet to a serious infection has become the youngest patient to receive a double-hand transplant, surgeons said Tuesday.

Zion Harvey's forearms were heavily bandaged but his hands were visible as he flashed some big smiles Tuesday at a hospital news conference. He demonstrated his still-delicate grip and described waking up with new hands as "weird at first, but then good."

According to a report by Punch, the US government handed over the names of Nigerian oil thieves to President Buhari during his last trip to the country. A member of the President’s entourage during the trip told the newspaper;

6 year old Danica Wetmore had only ever lived inside a Ukrainian orphanage. In all that time, Thom and Tami Wetmore were the only ones who ever visited her.

16yr old kills 4yr old boy in Lagos, removes his intestines, kidney & penis


This has got to be one of the most painful/heartbreaking news I've heard in a while. A 16-year-old boy named Tajudeen Azeez, lured his 4 year old neighbour to a primary school in the Ijaniki area of Lagos, stabbed him, strangled him and removed his intestines, his kidney and cut off his penis. Muammar Gaddafi's son sentenced to death over war crimes


A court in Libya has sentenced one of the sons of former Libyan dictator, Muammar Gaddafi, Saif al-Islam Gaddafi and eight others to death over war crimes committed during the 2011 revolution.

Saif al-Islam and others were standing trial for suppressing protests during the political uprising in Libya in 2011 after Libyans revolted against the government of Ghadaffi who was killed in October 2011. Saif al-Islam was not present in court and gave evidence via video link. He is being held by a former rebel group from the town of Zintan that have refused to release him.
