Police foil plot to bomb Third Mainland Bridge, arrest suspect

The Nigerian police has arrested a man, Abiodun Amos aka Senti who is one of the leaders of a notorious militant group that operate in Ikorodu and Arepo areas of Lagos and Ogun states for was plotting, with some of his gang members who are currently at large, to bomb the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.
According to a statement released by Police Public Relations Officer, Don Awunah, a deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, the gang leader, Abiodun Amos, said yesterday, that his group planned to bomb the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos in November because the Federal Government failed to consider its members for amnesty.

Wife of CPDM mayor of the Douala city council and a prominent member of the administration posted his nude photo on social media after she allegedly caught him in a hotel with one of his many concubines. The mayor refused to resign since the nude photo went viral on social media.

According to Cameroon Intelligence Report, the man had a long and successful session in a hotel with one of his many concubines when his wife, said to be a publisher stormed the room and took photos of him.

An audio tape purported to be that of Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike and his Ekiti state counterpart, Ayo Fayose, discussing his moves at the recently held state legislative rerun election was shared online by Sahara Reporters.

In the video, a voice alleged to be that of Fayose, is heard congratulating someone alleged to be Wike for outsmarting the Army during the election. The voice purported to be that of Wike is heard saying "Kill anybody you can kill". Listen to the video

Police arrest Greek woman, Nigerian man over cocaine confiscated at Athens International Airport

Police this week, arrested a 28-year-old Greek woman who ordered 3 kilograms of cocaine on behalf of a 42-year-old Nigerian man, who was also arrested.

The drugs were confiscated at Athens International Airport from the luggage of a 33-year-old man who arrived in Greece on Thursday, on a flight from Sao Paolo via Zurich.

The drugs(pictured) had been concealed in four packages in the outer casing of his suitcase, police sources said. Investigation is ongoing.

Nigerian death row convict, Chijoke Stephen Obioha was executed in Singapore early this morning, after the Court of Appeal dismissed an Urgent Criminal Motion filed by his lawyer, Mr Joseph Chen, yesterday.

Conjoined twins meet for the first time after historic surgery in Kenya

It was a joyous moment as the conjoined twins who were successfully separated at the Kenyatta National Hospital on November 2, 2016, finally got to see each other face-to-face for the first time since the delicate surgery. LIB recalls that a team of 50 Kenyan doctors successfully separated the twins; Favour and Blessing, whose lower backs were fused, in a 23-hour surgery. The villagers led by their traditional ruler, His Majesty, Eze Eri (Ezeora 34th & Aka Ji Ovo Igbo) gathered at the Omabala river in Aguleri where prayers were said before the spiritual cleansing began.

The festival which has been celebrated for many years by the Ezeora kings on the 8th native month of the year is in memory of the Eri's journey and his subsequent settlement.

‘Penis-like’ meat served at a food joint in Ghana

A lady simply identified as Akosua has narrated how she was served a penis- like meat in a Tuo Zaafi she bought from a food joint at Pokuase in Accra.
According to 3News post on Tuesday, November 15, the lady said she went to buy food at the shop in Pokuase only for her to discover a male-looking genital in her food after almost finishing the meal.

Rivers State Government on Tuesday concluded the first phase of the State Amnesty Programe, with Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike disbanding all vigilante committees in all communities of the state.

The governor also directed security agencies to henceforth go after all cultists and kidnappers who refused to voluntarily accept the amnesty offer of the state government, pointing out that his administration has zero tolerance to crime and criminality.
The governor spoke at the Government House, Port Harcourt during the submission of the report of the Rivers State Amnesty Programme. The State Amnesty Committee had its membership drawn from the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Navy , the Nigerian Police and the Department of State Services.

Two trucks went up in flames this morning at Kara bridge by Berger bus stop along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. Burnt bodies of some of the occupants of the truck and some passersby have been spotted in the river under the bridge. Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in his recent interview with EFCC quarterly magazine, Zero Tolerance, reacted to the allegations of corruption leveled against him by Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, in his book, "Accidental Public Servant". In the book, El Rufai accused Atiku of using his office as Vice President for corruption and self aggrandizement.

Yoruba actress, Kudirat Ajimat has passed away. A statement released by Theatre Arts and Movie Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Ogun State Chapter, on Tuesday confirmed the news of her death. Part of it read:

"The news of her death got to us this morning as a shocker but we don’t have power to stop God from doing what is right in HIS sight. We will seriously miss you and your friendly lifestyle. RIP."

Police arrests man for killing his 16-yr-old step-daughter and selling her head to his son for N3,000

The Ogun state police command have arrested 63-year-old man, Korede Odubela pictured left, for allegedly killing his 16-year-old step-daughter, Amudat Oshimodi, and selling her head to his son, Seun, a herbalist, who allegedly paid N3,000 as first installment.

I know some of us behave like animals but we can't be so animalistic and inhuman that we will beat and burn a young boy to death for stealing? C'mon, tell me this didn't happen in our town..
