Police arrest Greek woman, Nigerian man over cocaine confiscated at Athens International Airport


Police this week, arrested a 28-year-old Greek woman who ordered 3 kilograms of cocaine on behalf of a 42-year-old Nigerian man, who was also arrested.
The drugs were confiscated at Athens International Airport from the luggage of a 33-year-old man who arrived in Greece on Thursday, on a flight from Sao Paolo via Zurich.
 
The drugs(pictured) had been concealed in four packages in the outer casing of his suitcase, police sources said. Investigation is ongoing.

From investigations carried out by LIB, the boy was not 7, he's said to be in his 20s, but had a small frame so many thought he was a young boy. He was also allegedly a notorious thief in the area..

On Thursday, LIB visited the crime scene where a young man was beaten and burnt to death by an angry mob on Saturday, November 12, for allegedly stealing phones from a woman at Alafia bustop, Orile and shockingly found out that his corpse was left at the roadside from Saturday when he was lynched, till Thursday morning when an ambulance came to pick up his already stinking corpse.

Nigerian death row convict, Chijoke Stephen Obioha was executed in Singapore early this morning, after the Court of Appeal dismissed an Urgent Criminal Motion filed by his lawyer, Mr Joseph Chen, yesterday. 
The Singapore Anti-Death Penalty Campaign member, Mr Ravi, who is assisting Mr Joseph with the research for the case, took to his Facebook page an hour ago to announce the news.

Conjoined twins meet for the first time after historic surgery in Kenya


It was a joyous moment as the conjoined twins who were successfully separated at the Kenyatta National Hospital on November 2, 2016, finally got to see each other face-to-face for the first time since the delicate surgery. LIB recalls that a team of 50 Kenyan doctors successfully separated the twins; Favour and Blessing, whose lower backs were fused, in a 23-hour surgery. The twins have been recuperating in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital. More photos

Villagers gather in their numbers to undergo spiritual cleansing in celebration of Eri festival in Anambra state


People of Aguleri community in Anambra state gathered in their numbers to undergo a spiritual cleansing in commemoration of the 2016 Olili Obibia Eri (Eri Festival).
The villagers led by their traditional ruler, His Majesty, Eze Eri (Ezeora 34th & Aka Ji Ovo Igbo) gathered at the Omabala river in Aguleri where prayers were said before the spiritual cleansing began.
The festival which has been celebrated for many years by the Ezeora kings on the 8th native month of the year is in memory of the Eri's journey and his subsequent settlement.

A lady simply identified as Akosua has narrated how she was served a penis- like meat in a Tuo Zaafi she bought from a food joint at Pokuase in Accra.
According to 3News post on Tuesday, November 15, the lady said she went to buy food at the shop in Pokuase only for her to discover a male-looking genital in her food after almost finishing the meal.

Two white South Africans arraigned in court for forcing black man into coffin


Willem Oosthuizen and Theo Martins Jackson pictured above were this morning arraigned before the Middelburg Magistrate Court in South Africa on charges of assault and kidnapping. The men were captured in a viral video showing them forcing a black man into a coffin while threatening to put a snake and petrol inside the casket.

22,430 cultists surrendered 8,572 arms,147 explosives as River State concludes first phase of Amnesty Programme

 Rivers State Government on Tuesday concluded the first phase of the State Amnesty Programe, with Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike disbanding all vigilante committees in all communities of the state.

The governor also directed security agencies to henceforth go after all cultists and kidnappers who refused to voluntarily accept the amnesty offer of the state government, pointing out that his administration has zero tolerance to crime and criminality.
The governor spoke at the Government House, Port Harcourt during the submission of the report of the Rivers State Amnesty Programme. The State Amnesty Committee had its membership drawn from the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Navy , the Nigerian Police and the Department of State Services.

Three confirmed dead as trucks go up in flames at Kara Bridge, Lagos-Ibadan expressway

 
Two trucks went up in flames this morning at Kara bridge by Berger bus stop along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. Burnt bodies of some of the occupants of the truck and some passersby have been spotted in the river under the bridge.
