NYSC Sends 25 Corps Members Home, Cautions 5 Over Indiscipline

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has on Wednesday, dismissed 30 corps members found guilty of acts of indiscipline in Jigawa state.
According to report, 25 corps members of the 2015 Batch ‘A’ who were currently in the state camp were dismissed as they were found guilty of acts of indiscipline after facing the camp court panel.
The other 5 were suspended due to the severity of their offences.

This disclosure was made known on Wednesday during the morning parade, the Camp judge ordered the withdrawal of kits as well as transport and bicycle allowance (N2500) from the dismissed ones before leaving camp.
However, those suspended will remain in camp and pass out with rest of the Batch A Stream 1 on Monday 25th of May.
Majority of the corps members dismissed were females, who lamented that they were being punished for sleeping in their rooms while camp activities were going on due to illnesses.
