Late David Bowie leaves nearly half of $100 million fortune to his wife, Iman, kids, PA and Nanny

New details following David Bowie's death have been revealed. The late rock icon's will, which was filed in court on Friday in Manhattan, allegedly revealed that Bowie has left nearly half of his $100 million estate to his wife Iman, along with the couple's home on Lafayette Street in Manhattan, according to the New York Post's Page Six, who obtained the documents.
Their daughter, Alexandria, gets his Ulster County home in upstate New York, and will split the remaining of Bowie's fortune with his son from a previous relationship, Duncan Jones.

Suicide bombers now disguising as madmen – DHQ

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has alerted the general public about the new ways terrorists have started operating. They now disguise themselves as madmen to carry out their suicide attacks.

Defence spokesman, Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar, who raised the alert yesterday January 29th, said the recent suicide attack in Gombi, Adamawa State was an example of such tactics.‎ He appealed to Nigerians to be very vigilant and report any suspicious movement they notice.

Another monarch in Delta state kidnapped

Barely a week after the decomposing body of the Akaeze Ofulue III of Ubulu-Uku (pictured above)‎ was found in a bush after he was kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Obior/ Igbodo Road, Delta State, another monarch, Umukoro Josiah, the Aghaza 1of Olomoro in Isoko south local government area of Delta state, was kidnapped by some gunmen in his palace at Ekiagbodo yesterday morning January 29th.The Delta state Police command spokesperson, Celestina Kalu, has confirmed his abduction.

Morgan Sellers, 14, has been enduring bullying by a group of kids at her middle school since last fall. “It’s been stressful because I never know what name they’re going to call me each day,” Morgan told WHO-HD. “It makes me feel bad about myself, like I’m not good enough.”

Morgan’s mom, Alisha Morton, 31, says she repeatedly complained about the bullying to the principal, teachers, and superintendent of Northview Middle School in Ankeny, Iowa. She was assured that they would take care of the situation. But nothing changed.

Sian Blake partner 'to return to UK voluntarily' after Ghanaian court hearing

The partner of an ex-EastEnders actress who was found dead with her two sons in a London garden, has told a Ghanaian court he will return to the UK.
Arthur Simpson-Kent, 48, appeared at an extradition hearing in Accra.
He said he voluntarily submitted and would have returned to the UK previously had he not been arrested.
He left the UK on 19 December following the deaths of his former partner Ms Blake, 43, and their two young sons, Zachary, eight, and four year-old Amon.

At least 55 Iraqi soldiers and pro-government tribal fighters have been killed in two attacks attributed to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group in the country's western region, near the city of Ramadi.
The first attack took place in the early hours of Tuesday when several suicide car bombers attacked the headquarters of the tenth Iraqi army division in northern Ramadi, killing 30 soldiers and pro-government fighters.
Previously held by ISIL, Anbar's provincial capital was recaptured by Iraqi forces three weeks ago, though ISIL remains strong in some pockets, particularly in the city's eastern district and in the al-Sijariya neighbourhood

Earlier today, I posted a photo of a little boy whose eyes were plucked out.  I now have more details. 4 year-old Naseerdeen's eyes were plucked out by ritualists in Zaria, Kaduna state. According to Aishat who shared this photo of Naseerdeen, on January 24, he was kidnapped along with his sister in Marafa (police college) Kaduna State, on their way to a mosque close to their home. 

The kidnappers later dropped off the sister at sultan road Kaduna but took Naseerdeen to an unknown location. Naseerdeen was later found without his two eyes

US and China call for new North Korea UN resolution


China and the US say a new UN resolution against North Korea is needed, following Pyongyang's claim that it had successfully tested a hydrogen bomb earlier this month.
US Secretary of State John Kerry, who is in Beijing for talks, called North Korea's nuclear ambitions a "threat to the world" and urged new sanctions.
But his counterpart Wang Yi suggested China would not support any sanctions.
China is North Korea's main ally, but has condemned Pyongyang's nuclear test.
On 6 January, a 5.1 magnitude tremor was detected in North Korea - which said it had successfully conducted an underground hydrogen bomb test.

Eritrea orders men to marry two wives or be jailed


Eritrean men have been asked by the government to marry more than one wife or risk being jailed for life.
This is contained in a statement in Arabic by the Grand Mufti (the highest official of religious law in the country) which scanned copy surfaced on social media sites on Thursday last week.
In the statement, Eritrea called for all men in the country to marry at least two wives and the government assured the men that it would pay for the marriage ceremonies and houses.

Jay Z sued for $18million over his perfume range...after sales drop by 75%

The rapper and business mogul has been sued by a company which collaborated with him on the release of his perfume range, Gold Jay Z. They claim Jay Z didn't keep his side of the deal.
Parlux Fragrances filed a lawsuit against Jay Z in the Manhattan Supreme Court, with the papers claiming the star failed to to promote his own signature fragrance. Reports claim the rapper was supposed to make six promotional appearances since the release of the fragrance in 2013, none of which he made.

Ex-EFCC boss Waziri loses daughter


The daughter of former EFCC chairperson Farida Waziri, Jackie Ifidon-Ola has died. Family sources say the 39 year old died at a hospital in Abuja on Sunday January 224th after a brief illness. She is survived by a husband, two children and her parents, Senator Ajuji Waziri and Farida Waziri. May her soul rest in peace Amen.

High Court adjusts Olisa Metuh’s bail conditions


A Federal High Court has adjusted the bail conditions given to National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), Olisa Metuh who is standing trial for fraudulently receiving N400 million from the office of former NSA Sambo Dasuki.

The trial judge, Justice Okon Abang, changed his earlier order that the sureties must own property in the Maitama area of Abuja only to an order that the sureties must own property in any area of the Federal Capital Territory. He however, retained the sum of bail which he put at 400 million Naira.

According to les Parisen newspaper, the 34 year old PSG star striker has been handed a 700,000 euros ($760,000) monthly pay-rise making him by far the highest-paid footballer in France.

Ibrahimovic joined the club in 2012 from AC Milan and has scored 127 goals in 156 games since then. He now gets 1.5 million euros ($1.1 million) a month before tax under the performance-based hike agreed late last year.

Former Inspector General of Police, Sunday Adewusi, has died. He died yesterday night at the National Hospital, Abuja after a brief illness. Nigeria Force Public Relations Officer, Bisi Kolawole, confirmed his death. The deceased was IGP from 1981 to 1983 - the youngest officer to head the country’s police force. May his soul rest in peace, amen.

University student commits suicide after finding out she had bad exam results

20 year old a Samantha Macdonald, a student of the University of Salford jumped to her death from her hall of residence (pictured above) after finding out her exam results weren't good enough to follow her dream of becoming a research scientist. She told friends she wanted to get a first-class degree as part of her life's ambition to make a difference as a top scientist, but the human biology undergraduate was left devastated after receiving a 2:2 in her second-year exams which she feared were not good enough.


Ms McDonald after a night out clubbing with friends jumped from her student apartment at the University, a security guard tried to revive her but she died from multiple injuries. After her death, police found a diary which contained a list of Ms MacDonald's likes, dislikes and ambitions. It included the intention to complete a PhD, to find a cure for diabetes and to 'make a difference' in the world.

Supreme Court upholds Governor Wike's election as Rivers state governor

The Supreme Court today Wednesday, January 27, upheld the election of Nyesom Wike as the duly elected governor of Rivers State.
Wike had approached the apex court after the Appeal Court upheld the decision of Rivers State Governorship Petitions Tribunal which nullified his election on October 24, 2015. APC candidate Dakuku Peterside had won the appeal court sitting challenging Wike's election as the Rivers State governor.
Wike took the case to the Supreme Court and has gotten the ruling that will ensure he remains Rivers State governor till at least May 2019.

Mentally unstable woman gives birth to baby boy in Kaduna Market in broad day light

A mad woman named Hassana gave birth to a cute baby boy in Kaduna Central Market, yesterday. Hassana reportedly delivered the baby in front of a bank adjacent the Kaduna State Media Corporation, KSMC, while hundreds of citizens watched her. Some women not wanting to let the woman's privates be shown in public despite her mentally deranged state, formed a circle round her in the market while she was delivering the baby boy.
