Teachers who were absent when Bauchi State Dep.Governor paid surprise visit to a school, to be disciplined


17 teachers were absent when the Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Engr Nuhu Gidado paid a surprise visit to a secondary school on Thursday, March 10. Gidado has now ordered the teachers to be fished out and disciplined for absenteeism. Below is the statement issued by the SA Communications to the Deputy Governor, Yakubu Adamu:
"His Excellency the Deputy Governor, and overseeing Commissioner, Bauchi State Ministry of Education, Engr. Nuhu Gidadohas ordered the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry to as a matter of utmost urgency, “Fish Out” 17 Teachers who were not at their duty post when he paid a surprise visit to Government Day Secondary School Kofar Idi on Thursday 10th March, 2016.
"His Excellency Engr. Nuhu Gidado further ordered the Ministry to investigate reasons behind the teachers’ absent, recommend disciplinary measures and submit same to him within 24hrs."
