Dino Melaye wins Kogi West Senatorial District Election


Unlike Bukola Saraki, Senator Dino Melaye will be returning to the 9th Assembly after he was declared winner of the Kogi West Senatorial District Election early this morning.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun wins Ogun central senatorial seat


Governor Ibikunle Amosun has won the race for Ogun Central Senatorial Seat.  
The Ogun State Governor was declared the winner of Ogun central senatorial District in the early hours of Monday, February 25
He polled 88,110 votes to defeat his closest rival Solomon Sanyaolu of the PDP who polled 33,276 votes. The result was announced by INEC’s returning officer Professor Ayinde Akanbi.

Oil magnate, Ifeanyi Uba, wins senatorial election


The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared oil magnate and chairman of Capital Oil, Ifeanyi Ubah, as the winner of the Anambra South senatorial election held on Saturday.
Uba who contested on the platform of the Young Progressives Party YPP, defeated the incumbent Senator,  Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress  in the keenly contested election. 
The electoral seat has hitherto been won by the Uba brothers since 1999.

EFCC arraigns three men who fraudulently carried out transaction on the shares of dead people

Aneke of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos on an eight-count charge bordering on money laundering, conversion and retaining of proceeds to the tune of N34, 000, 000 (Thirty Four Million naira) only.

The United States has imposed visa restrictions on Ghana, accusing the African country of not cooperating in accepting its citizens who have been deported from the United States.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo “has ordered consular officers in Ghana to implement visa restrictions on certain categories of visa applicants,” the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said in a statement.
