Supreme Court strikes out Senate’s suit over CJN Onnoghen’s suspension


The Supreme Court has struck out the suit filed by the Senate challenging President Buhari’s suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen.


When the case was mentioned on Tuesday, the counsel to Senate, Paul Erokoro (SAN), referred the court to the notice of discontinuance he had filed on Monday marked: SC76/2019.
Lawyer to President Buhari, Maimuna Lami Shiro, who led Tijani Gazali, did not object to the plaintiff’s counsel. The court consequently struck out the suit
