Fatal Accident Leaves Many Injured In Ogun

Six persons were on Saturday, October 10, seriously injured in a fatal accident that occurred at the Ile-Ise Awo junction along Lagos-Abeokuta road few kilometres to Neuro Psychatric hospital in Abeokuta.
The accident had all the occupants in the Vento Volkswagen car sustained with various degrees of injury.
The car had a head-on collision with a big truck, which was about making a u-turn at the junction as the car driver was said to have been on a high speed.
It was learned that the vehicle was coming from a party at Mawuko village, around Osiele town in Odeda local government area of Ogun state.

Sources disclosed that the driver may have been drunk and lost control when it approached the truck.
Both the driver and the passengers were attended to at the instant. While some were taken to the hospital, others were taken away by relations.
However, some bottles of drinks like Baron, Hennessey and other assorted drinks including gifts and bags were seen in the vehicle.
It was gathered that the driver, his wife and four other occupants were in the vehicle but the driver sustained more injury as the car was broken before he could be pulled out of the car.
Some of the sympathisers who were majorly drivers picking passengers at the junction confirmed the reckless driving of the car driver.
They added that the man may not survive the accident considering the level of the injury which he sustained.
The driver whose name was unknown reliably learned that the man was taken to the general Hospital at Ijaiye in Abeokuta.
Meanwhil, a boat mishap around the Kikiri Imore area in Apapa, Lagos state, claimed the life of one person while 20 others were rescued from the boat.
According to the Nigerian Tribune, the accident occurred due to a fishing net which affected the boat’s engine. The boat was said to be heading to Ogun state.
