The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji  Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar 111, Monday said the state has become a role model in terms of civil / military relations.
The monarch made the remark on Monday when the outgoing Commander, 1 Brigade, Nigerian Army Sokoto,  Brig -Gen. Chikezie Ude, paid him a farewell visit.

He noted that there had not been many problems between the civilians and the military in the state.
"I must commend the officers and most especially the soldiers for always knowing who they are, where they are and what they are supposed to do.
"I want to thank the soldiers of the 1 Brigade for living peacefully with their host communities,"the Sultan said.
He commended the outgoing commander for initiating some laudable projects like the skills acquisition programmes for the families of the soldiers.
The monarch, to this end, promised that the Palace would continue to remain home for the officers and men of the brigade
